Firstly, lets start with a FRANKENSTEIN update.
As you know we had the 'get-in' yesterday which was a relatively smooth day with little complications.
I think it's fair to say a huge thank you to the Rep staff and volunteers who helped construct the set, which looks amazing and has a special twist; but im not divulging that here, (you'll have to buy a ticket to find out!!)
The band call, or Sitzprobe as i have been told it's now called, was just incredible. Its still amazing to hear the music come together and never fails to give you chills when you hear it for the first time with the band. To Alison, Larraine and the band, a huge thank you!
It is also appropriate to thank Jean and Tony Webb for their help during the last few weeks. Jean kindly took over ticket sales from Gill Johnson after Gill's fall. Gill has thankfully started a good recovery and has even been along to see us. I know we all wish Gill a speedy recovery.
Now an update on Coronation Street. For those that have not heard or seen the news from a few weeks ago, Shelley Anne Rivers, a NOS member and committee member, has landed a role in Corrie!!!
The episode will be aired on November 16th in a double episode. We know that Shelley had a wonderful time recording this and that the much loved soaps cast and crew made her very welcome.
In related news, Shelley has landed a role in JACK AND THE BEANSTALK, at Winsford Lifestyle Centre. The show begins on DEC16th. If you would like tickets please phone: 01606 814640.
16th Nov, the Ceramic evening at Paint a Pot has been postponed. The date will hopefully be rescheduled for December or in the New Year. The new date will be decided by the committee and they we will let you all know.
Now, as a society we are always after new members; whether cast, crew, props or wardrobe.
If you think you have what it takes and feel you would like to be apart of a very friendly society then send us some info and we'll be be in touch.
To get in touch see the Contacts page.
Lastly, it is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Jim Tildesley. Jim was a long-standing member of NOS and still attended the odd rehearsal and came to see shows long after his 'retirement' from the stage a few years ago.
The funeral will be held at St. George and St. Martins Church, Birches Head on Mon 12th Nov at 10:15am.
Jim will be deeply missed and fondly remembered and our thoughts are with Jim's family at this sad time.
